This documentation covers all the topics from theme installation, plugins configuration to setting up the theme exactly like the demo. Now, lets get started and build a professional website for your business using Roofers.

Let's get started with the theme installation process.


To install the Roofers theme, you should have the latest version of WordPress installed on your web hosting server. In case, if it is not installed, you can download it over here and then follow the installation process as stated over here.

Install Roofers

So, we assume that you have installed WordPress successfully.

There are two ways of installing the theme. One is the Native WordPress Uploader and another one is the FTP .

Native WordPress Uploader

Navigate to Appearance > Themes . Click on the Add New button

and then click on Upload Theme button.

The theme upload page will open up, click on the Choose File button and select the file.

Hit the Install Now button and your theme is installed. Once the theme is installed, go ahead and activate it directly there itself or by navigating
to Appearance > Themes and then activating Roofers.


Using FTP software such as Filezilla , you can also easily install Roofers theme. Upload the non-zipped theme folder into the folder on your web hosting server.

Then, go to Appearance > Themes and you see Roofers Themes. Activate Roofers Theme . Then, you are done with installing the theme successfully.

After your theme is successfully installed and activated, you will be prompted to install the required plugins which are necessary for working of the theme. You can follow the onscreen procedures for installing the plugins and activating them. Below are the list of plugins which come with our theme.

6. Redux Framework

It is a simple, truly extensible and fully responsive options framework for WordPress themes and plugins. Built on the WordPress Settings API, Redux supports a multitude of field types as well as: custom error handling, custom fields & validation types, and import/export functionality.

After installing and activating the theme and the required plugins, it is time for the demo content to be imported. Go to Roofer Theme options > Demo Importer.

Now, you need to do two important things, first is to set the homepage for your website and second is to assign the menus for your website. In order to do so, you need to follow the steps below.

Import Slider:

After Import the Demo data, it is time for slider import Goes to slider Revolution > Import Slider.

Click on the choose file and select the slider file to import the slider goes to demo data > roofer01>

Setting the Home Page:

After installing the demo content, you should select the home page in your WordPress settings. Go to Settings > Reading and set the options for Front page displays to A static Page . Next in the Front page select choose Home and in the Posts page select Blog .

Assigning a Menu:

You will see two menus imported with the demo content. One will be the Header Menu and another will be the Footer Menu . The theme requires the Header Menu and the Footer Menu to be assigned from the Appearance > Menus section.

You can then click on the Manage Locations and assign the menus to their respective locations. Or it is best to create your own menus and setup as mentioned above.

After following all the above steps, your website will replicate the Roofers theme demo website exactly. From there you can start designing your website and editing content according to your requirement.

After you finish all the above steps, you can start customizing your website using theme options . Click on Roofers, and you will see the theme options page. Set the options according to your needs. The theme options are listed below with explanations.

General - All logo, favicon, theme styles and basic options are here.

Header - Manage blog post settings.

Sidebar - Manage sidebar settings.

Colors - Customize your website using color palette for various elements.

Your website will be populated with all the pre-designed pages after the demo content is imported successfully. You can edit and customize these pages according to your needs using Visual Composer page builder which is integrated with the theme.

To add new blog items go to the Posts > Add New option in your dashboard. You can then add content to your blog, set featured image and assign to a specific category.

After, you added blogs as mentioned above, you can display the blog on your page by adding the Blog Carousel element using Visual Composer.

Let’s start with displaying a form on your page. First, open the ‘Contact’ > ‘Contact Forms’ menu on your WordPress administration panel. You can manage multiple contact forms there.

Just after installing the Contact Form 7 plugin, you’ll see a default form named “Contact form 1”, and a code like this: [contact-form-7 id="1234" title="Contact form 1"]

Copy this code. Then, open the edit menu of the page (‘Pages’ > ‘Edit’) into which you wish to place the contact form. A popular practice is creating a page named “Contact” for the contact form page. Paste the code you copied into the contents of the page.

Now your contact form setup is complete. Visitors to your site can now find the form and start submitting messages to you.
